Top administrators of India will receive information on environment and the dangers of climate change as part of their basic training. Subjects will include topics such as rural strategy, urban management, gender equality and disaster management. A Climate change centre will be set up by the government with the support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). According to a study that was published by the Environment Ministry, "the threat of climate change in India is real and adapting to the fast-changing weather will be key to fighting global warming. For that, administrators at the ground level need to know about its threats and ways it can be dealt with in a cost-effective manner."
