Japanese experts: Indonesians ‘should think twice’ before going nuclear

With the memory of last year's tsunami induced Fukushima nuclear disaster in mind, Japanese experts have told the Indonesian government to be cautious when considering to build nuclear plants in Indonesia, considering that the country is highly vulnerable to earthquakes. "Indonesia should consider the fact that it is located on the 'Pacific Ring of Fire', making it prone to disaster," warned nuclear expert Yoichi Funabashi.
