Bangladesh: minimizing the fallouts of climate change

Adaptation to climate change is fundamental to reduce risk and enhance the resilience of the societies, particularly in countries such as Bangladesh, where the population is heavily exposed to natural hazards.

Adaptation both relies on bottom-up approaches as well as on programmes and policies. With this purpose the Department of Environment of the Government of Bangladesh recently launched the preparation of a National Climate Change Policy and Action Plan.
