Nigeria to consider climate change in tackling floods - report

NEMA Director general Muhammad Sani-Sidi said floods, like ocean surges and disease, are expected negative impacts of climate change, the Daily Trust reported on Monday.

“We must do everything possible at national, states and community levels to adapt and take proactive measures needed to ensure that individuals and communities are capable of dealing with the detrimental impacts of climate change,” Sani-Sidi said.
