Online discussion on 'Climate risk management strategies in the Himalayan region' starts today

The Nepal Climate and Development Portal is hosting a discussion on climate risk management strategies in the Himalayan Region. Under discussion will be risk perception in the Himalayas in the context of climate variability and change, how communities and institutions are responding, and more importantly, how we can improve our mitigation, adaptation and risk reduction strategies to deal with the impacts of climate variability and change. The first discussion topic (Risk Perception) is open starting today, 16 November.

This e-discussion is being organized by the UNDP Bureau for Crisis Prevention and Recovery (BCPR) under the Regional Climate Risk Reduction Project. It is is run concurrently on Solutions Exchange India and DRM-Asia networks. BCPR will produce a synthesis of the discussions which will be published and disseminated through the web and e-networks in December.
