The overarching theme of the conference is "Disaster Risk Reduction for Climate Change Adaptation", with a particular focus on 1) the convergence of DRR and climate change adaptation and 2) available information technology and green technology.

Objectives

The objectives of the 4th Asian Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction will be:

a) To review the action taken by the national governments and other stakeholders for the implementation of HFA as a follow up to the Beijing Action for Disaster Risk Reduction in Asia, the Delhi Declaration, and the Kuala Lumpur Declaration

b) To establish a practical and problem-solving cooperation system against extreme disasters due to climate change.

c) To execute technical and tangible solutions using available cutting-edge technologies and policies for disaster risk reduction in the region.

d) To find out ways to share climate information and the technical development in the field of disaster management.
