The First Links H2020 Project Conference

Organizer(s) European Union
Date

LINKS “Strengthening links between technologies and society for European disaster resilience” is a project funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research & Innovation Programme (links-project.eu). The aim of this conference is to present the activities and main findings from the first year of the LINKS project.

The overall aim of LINKS is to strengthen societal resilience by producing sustainable advanced learning on the use of social media and crowdsourcing (SMCS) in disasters. The project is developing a LINKS Framework, encompassing learning materials (e.g. practical tools, guidelines, methods, etc.) to help better understand and govern SMCS for disasters. The project is also establishing a LINKS Community, an international network of stakeholders who directly engage with the project and have a determining role in shaping the final outputs.

The conference is open to all, and may be of particular interests to researchers, practitioners, policy makers, industry and citizens, actively working, directly impacted and/or interested in areas related to SMCS and crisis and disaster management.

Time: 09:30 - 12:20 CEST
