This webinar aims to inspire participants to seize the common ground between the Paris Agreement and the Sendai Framework. The PLAtform for Climate Adaptation and Risk reDuction (PLACARD) and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) recommendations on how to inspire more institutional coherence in governance, knowledge management, funding, communication and implementation will be shared. The discussion will focus on:

  • How far have has the coherence between Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) progressed?
  • What policy and institutional coherence is needed most urgently, in the participants' opinion?
  • What are the positive experiences of joint efforts and institutional collaboration, and how to replicate and scale them up?
