The way people respond to risk is very emotive. Armed with all the facts, we may still have trouble persuading people to do the right thing. What can behavioural economics teach us about the way we respond to risk? How do we apply this to policymaking and public-facing and media communications? Our speakers include experts from behavioural economics and communications and the webinar will take the form of a "fishbowl" - a conversation which you are invited to watch and ask questions through our chat mechanism.
Introductory remarks: Mami Mizutori, Special Representative of the UN for Disaster Risk Reduction and Head of UNDRR
Speakers:
Closing remarks: Stephanie Speck, Head of Communications, Advocacy, Knowledge Management and IT, UNDRR
The event will take place on Thursday, May 7, 2020, at 08:00 New York, 14:00 Geneva.
