Type: Training Course Date: 01 May 2020 Location: Online event
Now is a time for heightened global urgency, and the need for ambitious collective action to better understand the systemic nature of risk, to build resilience and achieve sustainable, regenerative development has never been greater. We are fast approaching the point where we may not be able to mitigate or repair impacts from realized cascading and systemic risks, particularly those due to climate and ecological change, and right now from the COVID-19 pandemic.
The urgency is evident. It demands of all of us much greater ambition, and action that is proportionate to the scale of the threat. Not what is convenient, what is necessary. It is our choices that matter. This is at the heart of the exploration of ideas and questions across the series of articles that we are seeking to engage on in this webinar.
The webinar will take place on 1 May at the following times:
15:00 Geneva
13:00 Accra
09:00 New York
This webinar is the second in a series of webinars on the COVID-19 pandemic and the systemic nature of risk organized by UNDRR Headquarters and is aimed at people located in the Americas and the Caribbean.
