Workshop: Psychosocial support in disaster management
Purpose
Psychosocial support in disaster response has become more important in Indonesia. Its proliferation, however, begs the clarification of what it is, what it covers, and how to do it properly? The Workshop aims to:

Bring closer the understanding among participants regarding challenges and opportunities in order to strengthen the framework related to psychosocial support.

Provide an inventory of concepts and experiences from conducting psychosocial support in disaster management, along with observations about the need to improve or strengthen the framework for implementing psychosocial support programme activities.

Take the initial steps towards improving the training module for conducting psychosocial support activities.
Expected results

Expanded learning networks among psychosocial practitioners in the context of disaster management.

Closer understanding of concepts and practices in the field of psychosocial support in the context of disaster management.

Ability to identify needs for basic capacity building in carrying out psychosocial support activities.
