The 4th DRR Conference aims to bring together leading academic scientists, researchers and young researchers to share their experiences, research results and questions about all aspects of disaster risk reduction. It also provides the premier interdisciplinary forum for researchers and practitioners to present the most recent trends, practical challenges and solutions for natural disaster risk reduction. In the fourth edition, we would like to focus on local problems and solutions highlighted in the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction (2015-2030).

The 4th DRR Conference will host several workshops addressing different areas related to DRR. Workshops are intended to serve as an intensive collaborative forum for exchanging ideas, theories and practices.

Session topics will cover theoretical and practical issues of disaster risk reduction. There is also a place for geographical physical and social issues, as well as management in the context of natural hazards.

Topics covered during the conference:

  • Theoretical and practical aspects
  • Paradigms and definitions
  • Geographical approach: physical and social aspects
  • Psychological approach
  • Universal approach to the multi-hazards
  • Methods, estimation and spatial analysis
  • GIS, remote sensing and statistical analysis solutions
  • Strategies
  • Changes and challenges

We encourage promoting the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction, which is held on October 13, 2019. We are open to hear about your actions, and look forward to seeing you at the DRR 2019! If you have any questions, please send an e-mail.
