3rd Training Course on Gender in Disaster Risk Reduction
Participants will be provided with tools and practical understanding to integrate gender issues into disaster risk reduction programs. The training will build an awareness of gender equality, gender competence and enable the participants to promote gender equality goals in their programme management work, at various levels. Participants will gain knowledge to use gender analysis tools, collecting relevant data and to use data to plan it in a systematic way. They will also get guidance on development of monitoring and evaluation frameworks and gender budgeting
Target participants
Project staff, government and non-government partners who are involved in design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of climate change and disaster risk reduction programs. The training will include practical guidance on addressing gender and women's empowerment in disaster risk reduction programs. It will provide practical application of gender mainstreaming in disaster risk reduction projects/programs.
Course fee
The standard course fee of USD1,675 covers course tuition, registration fee, training materials, study visit, and training kit.
Participants will be responsible for their own travel expenses and arrangements, accommodation, airport transfers, visa application, all meals, health and accident insurance, and other personal expenses.
Discounted accommodation can be arranged by ADPC.

Interested persons can apply as individuals although preference will be given to those sponsored by an organization. The application can be submitted online here.
