Technological innovations transformed exchange of disaster risk reduction information. Several organizations working for disaster preparedness are using technological innovations to enhance community resilience. Local NGOs across Asia learned to innovate despite or due to limited technical knowledge or resources.

In this webinar, resource speakers will share insights on successful community-driven innovation to inspire local NGOs to design, develop and disseminate suitable tools and programs that support disaster preparedness interventions.

This webinar aims to:

Provide a broader platform for local NGOs in Asia to learn the value of participatory innovation development in disaster preparedness;

Discuss the principles and process of designing, developing and innovating community-driven technology for disaster preparedness and mitigation; and

Provide an overview of the current state of DRR innovation in Asia and clarify the important role of stakeholders in the innovation development process.
