6th International Dialogue Platform: Getting to know forecast-based financing
Already in its 6th edition, the International Dialogue Platform on Forecast-based Financing (FbF) has become the major global event for meteorologists, climate scientists and humanitarian actors to work on anticipatory humanitarian assistance.
The German Federal Foreign Office, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and the German Red Cross are pleased to invite you to an official side event for governments, institutional donors and private sector partners as part of the Dialogue Platform titled "Getting to know Forecast-based Financing."
What is Forecast-based Financing (FbF)?
FbF is a programme that enables access to humanitarian funding for early action based on in-depth forecast information and risk analysis. The goal of FbF is to anticipate disasters, prevent or mitigate their impact, if possible, and reduce human suffering and losses.
Who should attend?
Institutional donors and CSR, Sustainability and Public Affairs Managers who want to play a more important role in tackling one of the world‘s most pressing problems: Climate change and disaster risks.
