El X Congreso Internacional Sobre Desastres

The Civil Defense National Staff of the Republic of Cuba is pleased to invite you to participate in the 10th International Congress on Disasters 2018 and the VI International Firefighters Conference, which will be held from July 2 to 6, 2018, at the Havana International Conference Center, Cuba, under the general theme: "Understand the risk of disaster and join efforts to reduce it in the interest of sustainable development."

The official language will be Spanish. Spanish-English and English-Spanish translation will be offered in the opening and closing sessions, in plenary sessions and others selected by the Organizer Committee.

The Scientific Program takes into account the different types of hazards, vulnerabilities, and risks associated with them, as well as the different stages and elements of disaster risk reduction, which will encourage the exchange of ideas and criteria. The program will provide scientific and technological updates from specialists and be an excellent opportunity for the countries, institutions and organizations to show their accomplishments and the new goals to be achieved.
