The panel will be constituted of five dignitaries representing diverse group of institutions from the government, UN, donors, DP-Net and civil society organizations. Each of the five panelists will highlight on their institutional experience contributing to Nepal’s resilience building agenda and discuss their future plans, commitments and opportunities of synergy to support the implementation of SFDRR priorities in Nepal’s context as envisioned in the “draft National DRR Policy and Action Plan” and the new DRR legislation. The panel discussion will be guided by three separate presentations to be made on: DRM Act 2017 (MoHA), National DRR Policy and Action Plan, 2017 (UNDP) and Reflections from devastating flood disasters in the Southern plains, 2017 (DP-Net).
