Åre Risk Event 2016: Resilience - Opportunities and Challenges in Societal Crisis Management and for Individual Safety
The aim of the conference is the exchange of knowledge and experiences on disaster-related resilience among researchers, politicians, officials and practitioners.
The conference language is Swedish but with four keynotes and some sessions in English.
Speakers:
- Professor Dilanthi Amara Heavy, director of the Global Disaster Resilience Centre at the University of Huddersfield, UK
- Professor Brenda Phillips, director of the Emergency Response Training Center at Ohio University, USA
- Dr. Chris Zebrowski, a researcher at Loughborough University, UK
- Kristin Baja, climate and resiliensplanerare at the Office of Sustainability in Baltimore City, Maryland.
- Britt Bohlin, Nordic Council Per de la Gardie, PA at Saab
- Ulrika Årehed Kågström, Secretary General of the Swedish Red Cross
