Slovakian voluntary fire brigade DHZ POLE celebrating the International Day for Disaster Reduction
The Voluntary Fire Brigade DHZ POLE believes girls and women are the key force in making homes safer and communities more resilient. Honouring their contribution and hoping to inspire more girls to join voluntary rescue units in their communities, the brigade is holding a special Girls Day on the occasion of the International Day for Disaster risk Reduction.
This event will include an intro into first aid training and workshop on disaster preparedness basics.
The strategic aim is to involve more girls into disaster prevention and management and, ultimately, create a women led rescue team.
