Sea change: Evaluation of climate change interventions for excluded populations webinar

Climate change adaptation (CCA) is complex, operating across multiple scales, sectors and involving multiple processes. The M&E of CCA revolves around how best to ‘bring in the people’ at all levels into CCA. The one uniting factor is ‘adaptive capacity’ – for society, institutions, communities, households, and individuals.

The webinar will focus on emerging approaches for evaluating climate change interventions for excluded populations. Specifically, the facilitators will discuss ‘adaptive capacity’ as a concept that has the potential to link institutions and people across sectors and scales.

Speakers

Julian Barr – Julian is an ITAD Director and expert evaluator. He is currently leading the evaluation of the Rockefeller Foundation's Asian Cities Climate Change Resilience Network (ACCCRN). He has particular expertise in monitoring & evaluation systems design, governance and research management and communications. Julian is a SEA Change CoP Advisory Board member.

Robbie Gregorowski – Robbie is a Principal Consultant/Evaluator at ITAD and leads their Climate Change M&E work. He has recently provided climate change M&E services to DFID's Climate & Development Knowledge Network (CDKN), reviewed CARE International’s Climate Change Strategic Plan, and evaluated the UNISDR disaster risk reduction (DRR) knowledge portal – PreventionWeb.
