The purpose of the national plan is to reduce the vulnerability of the country and increase its responsiveness to the threats and impacts of climate change.
The Ministry of Environment and sustainable development together with institutions such as the Institute of Hydrology, Meteorology and Environmental studies (IDEAM) and the National Unit for Risk Management (UNGRD) support the construction of the PNACC, an initiative led by the National Planning Department (DNP).
