Taiwan (China): Bylaws of disaster prevention and response act, 2001

This Bylaw should be interpreted in conjunction with Disaster Prevention and Protection Act.

The Bylaw outlines the logistical and operational procedures surrounding the Disaster Prevention and Response Plan. It establishes the responsibilities of regulating authorities and civil utilities, as well as municipal, county/city governments and town office, who are tasked with surveying to assess and review the regional Disaster Prevention and Response plan at least once every two years, or when required.

It also defines Disaster Prevention and Response materials and facilities/equipment, and elaborates on the procedure and information required for ordering written requisitions in the event of a disaster. Furthermore, the Bylaw describes the work items that government workers and civil utilities may carry out when restoring or reconstructing after a disaster.
