Representatives of the Disaster Management Authorities of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan adopted this declaration at the Regional Ministerial Meeting On First Meeting of the Regional Forum of Heads of Disaster Management Authorities of Central Asian countries in November 2015.
The declaration highlights the importance of regional cooperation in disaster risk reduction and expresses support for efforts to adopt a global agreement on climate change at COP21, and approves regulations on the Regional Forum and its expert working groups, and the Action Plan for implementation of the Framework of strengthening regional co-operation of Disaster Management authorities of Central Asian countries participants of Regional Forum in the area of Disaster Risk Reduction for 2016 and in main areas in 2017.
