A declaration in which the private sector in Latin America and the Caribbean recognizes the need for business practices to consider disaster risk and adaptation to climate change for private sector investment to be resilient. It includes a series of commitments, means of verification and evaluation of the process.
This statement was made at the Fourth Session of the Regional Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction in the Americas, held in Guayaquil, Ecuador on 27-29 May 2014.
