This act provides for the functioning and powers of the Department of Disaster Management of British Virgin Islands, and regulates the establishment of National Disaster Management Council, the functioning of emergency operations centres and shelters, the obligations of public officers and other persons, the national alert system and threatened hazard alerts, and the emergency disaster fund.
