Cambodia: National Report in preparation for WCDR (2005)

In 1995, as a result of the countries experience with regularly occuring disasters, the Royal Government of Cambodia established a National Committee for disaster management(NCDM). The NCDM`s responsibilities are defined in terms of, not only with providing timely and effective emergency relief to victims of disasters, but also to developing preventive measures to reduce loss of lives and property.
