Koshi River Basin: You can’t manage what you don’t measure

A new study creates a dataset to assess the Koshi River Basin's spatial and temporal water balances, revealing that extreme flows currently happen two to five times a year. By filling in a key data gap, the report will help mainstream state-of-the-art hydrological models and novel hydro-climatic datasets in Nepal.
