In Kyrgyzstan, warming brings less water - and more conflict

The water supply in a canal network shared by Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan is evaporating as temperatures rise, triggering ethnic conflicts between villagers desperate for water. With estimates that desertification could affect half of Kyrgyzstan by century's end, an expert warns that disputes could escalate to war between the three countries.
