Seawalls and forests aim to save the living - and dead - in Tanzania

For over 25 years, rising seas linked to climate change have caused repeated flooding on the small Tanzanian island of Kisiwa Panza. But now the island's graveyards lay undisturbed, the houses stand dry and the banana trees have returned after a UN-backed project constructed seawalls and rehabilitated wave-slowing mangrove forests and coral habitats.
