Introduction to disaster services, a video-based course, includes a videotape and this workbook. This course will introduce the reader to disasters and how they affect people and their communities; the community response; and the role of Red Cross Disaster services in preparing for, responding to, and recovering from disasters. It will also enable the reader to identify his/her skills and abilities that he/she would like to apply as a volunteer with disaster services. This package includes a quizz, with answers, a course evaluation and a chart which depicts all possible functions performed on a disaster operation. (UNEsCO)
