School where a magical tree grows, The

Source(s):  United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization - Headquarters (UNESCO)

This story is about children in the Recoleta school, in Chile. They won a UN contest entitled "We fight against drought" thanks to their project "tree preserve in school". For a few months, they acted as ambassadors of the fight against drought. We see them visit schools throughout Europe and Africa. A questionnaire at the end of the booklet tests the knowledge acquired. (UNEsCO)
