Climada: The open-source Economics of Climate Adaptation (ECA) tool

Source(s):  ETH Zurich (ETH Zurich)
Institute for Atmospheric and Climate Science (IACETH)

Climada is an open-source economics of climate adaptation assessment model using state-of-the-art probabilistic modeling, that allows to estimate the expected economic damage, the incremental increase from economic growth and the further incremental increase due to climate change.

The economics of climate adaptation methodology as implemented in Climada provides decision makers with a fact base to understand the impact of climate on their economies and to identify actions to minimize that impact at the lowest cost to society, allowing them to pro-actively manage total climate risk.
