This guide will share experiences and good practices on the engagement of children and youth in the work of platforms and similar coordinating bodies. It will also provide insights on the do’s and dont’s in engaging children and youth in various aspects of disaster risk reduction.

  • The Sendai Framework recognizes children and youth as agents of change who should be given the space and modalities to contribute to disaster risk reduction implementation, in accordance with legislation, national practice and educational curricula.
