The postgraduate certificate CERG-C is designed to be of interest to professional and scientists from a wide background including geologists, civil engineers, physical geographers, social scientists or other field specialists. The main goal of the course is to develop multidisciplinary skills for the assessment and management of natural risk.

This course includes 5 modules:
People working in the field of disaster reduction in governmental and non-governmental organizations or in private institutions, and those who wish to deepen their understanding of geological and climate related risk and risk management.
Candidates should have a master's degree or a 5-year University diploma.
Applicants should possess a valid visa for the Schengen area. They should also contact the Swiss Embassy or Consulate and the other consulates in their country of residence to obtain the necessary visa before arriving in Geneva. A candidate without the required visa will not be admitted to the course.
Applicants with a recognized certificate of specialization in either one of the 4 fields of geological risks may ask for equivalence in the relevant field.
