Source(s):  International Monetary Fund (IMF)
World Bank, the (WB)

This report presents an overview of progress to date on the implementation of the recommendations of The Sendai Report, which set the stage for broader international awareness on the need to integrate Disaster Risk Management and climate risk management into development priorities. The report was requested by the World Bank Development Committee at the 2013 Spring Meetings.

The main section of this report provides an overview of progress to date and reflections on the way forward. A summary table and a more detailed analysis reporting on each of The Sendai Report’s 11 priorities is also included. In order to illustrate more significant trends, the analysis is based on activities from fiscal year 2010 (FY10) to FY13.
