Source(s):  Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE)

The aim of this report is to assess the likely impacts the Flood and Water Management Act (2010) will have on the authorities responsible for the preparation for, protection against and response to flooding events in England and Wales. It identifies the areas most in need of attention for the full and successful implementation of the Act, including clarification of responsibilities, promotion of data sharing and partnerships, availability of funding, and the provision of skills and capacity.
