The identification and systematization of relevant experiences on risk reduction in the Americas, executed by different actors and from different perspectives, to illustrate progress, opportunities and challenges in the implementation of the agenda for reducing the risk of disasters in the Americas. Actions will be presented that, in general, are all carried out under the umbrella of the global guidelines set in the Hyogo Framework for Action 2005-2015 (HFA) and other instruments and mechanisms developed in regional, national and local contexts.
