How to build resilience from the ground up

Organizer(s) Building Resilience and Adaptation to Climate Extremes and Disasters Concern Worldwide Overseas Development Institute
Venue
Overseas Development Institute, 203 Blackfriars Road
Date

This expert panel discussion explores the combination of targeted interventions that can best manage risk and reduce vulnerability in order to increase capacities.

Building resilience will ensure that development efforts are not undermined by extreme climate events, but understanding how to do it the right way - particularly at the local level - is a complex undertaking.

Experts will address the following questions: What challenges and limitations do contexts affected by climate change, disasters and conflict present to building resilience? What investments are being made in vulnerable countries to build climate resilience and how do they work?

This event will be streamed online.
