Japan: Abe to declare ‘knowledge sharing’ at U.N. disaster summit in Sendai

Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is to declare Japan’s intention to create a strong, flexible society in cooperation with the international community at the Third World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction to be held in Sendai from Saturday, reports the Japan News.

According to the article, he will do this by sharing Japan’s knowledge and technology as a nation well experienced in preventing disasters, based on a draft outline of the “Initiative for cooperation on preventing disaster risk” to be announced at the conference.
