IX Conference 'International Day for Disaster Reduction' | Amadora - Portugal

The International Day for Disaster Reduction, established by the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN), is a reflection on the issue of disasters, taking into account the phases of prevention, rescue and rehabilitation. This year's meeting will give special attention to the subject released by International Strategy for Disaster Reduction of the United Nations: "Ageing People".

This event will focus the different challenges that “Ageing People” faces before, during and after a disaster, and will be presented the work that Amadora Local Campaing (Making Cities Resilient) has developed with stakeholders.
