Norway helps Vietnam cope with climate change

As Vietnam is expected to be in the first 30 'extreme risk' countries affected by climate change related disasters, the Norway Foreign Ministry is helping the nation by financing a US$1.8 million five-year long DRR project, reports VOV. Already 100,000 people have benefited from early warning systems and critical infrastructure improvements. Within the project Red Cross organizes trainings to build the capacity of local authorities, focusing particularly on vulnerable populations, including women.
