In the last few decades, Earth observation has become an essential tool to deal with global challenges, such as poverty reduction, ecological protection, natural resources management, biodiversity, migration, urbanization and global change.

The International Symposium on Earth Observation for Arid and Semi-Arid Environments (ISEO2012) seeks submissions from experts from the academic sector, industries and governments. The conference will cover a broad range of topics including:
