Disaster management and sustainable development
The purpose of this course is to build the capacity of health and development workers and their organizations to be able to establish efficient, coordinated and flexible systems for managing disasters and improve sustainable development.

• Early warning and contingency planning
• Risk and vulnerability analysis and hazard mapping
• Disaster mitigation and preparedness strategies
• Resource management under disaster conditions
• Cyber terrorism
• Disaster response strategies (ICS Model)
• Hazardous materials preparedness
• Community based disaster response
• Emergency first aid (3 days)
• Counselling and psychosocial care
• Disaster recovery and rehabilitation
