Haiti is first nation to become member of the global facility for disaster reduction and recovery consultative group for a second term

PR Newswire reported that Haiti is the first country to be invited to the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR) Consultative Group (CG) twice. Haiti will join Solomon Islands and Togo to become new a Developing Country member delegate for two years.

The head of the Haitian delegation, Thierry Mayard-Paul, Haiti's Chief of Staff and Minister of the Interior, Territorial Collectivities and National Defense said: "With our designation as Developing Country members, we are looking forward to even greater exposure to best practices, as well as opportunities for support and collaboration from the GFDRR's membership."
