Celebration of the international disaster reduction day
The International Disaster Risk Reduction Day in Viet Nam will be organised in collaboration with Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (Department of Dike Management and Flood Control (DDMFC), the Youth Pioneer Council and school children in Viet Nam.
The Vice-Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development and the UNICEF Representative will participate in the event focusing on child and youth involvement and dialogue about the Children’s Charter with the responsible Ministries/National Assembly for the 5 check points.
Activities
• Video on disasters and DRR in Viet Nam
• Presentation on Children’s Charter for Disaster Risk Reduction
• Presentation of children on the first check-point of the Children’s Charter and dialogue with representatives of line ministries
• Speech from the Youth Union
• Commitments from the Government towards implementation of the Children’s Charter
