'Crowdsourcing a better world'

Tina Rosenberg explores the concept of crowdsourcing, collecting contributions from many individuals to achieve a goal. She explains that the relatively recent social phenomenon has been used in various emergencies to allow ordinary citizens to organize themselves and cites the example of Ushahidi used after the earthquake Haiti and during Washington's snow storm last winter.
