London South Bank University CIB Student Chapter invites you to celebrate the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction 13 Oct 2017. 

With the great global losses caused by the 2017 Atlantic Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria, our Workshop will discuss the key lessons learned and the role of building coherence with the 2015-2030 Sustainable Development Goals, to reduce disasters risk and raise awareness of prevention, mitigation and preparedness. 

LSBU Doctoral students from all schools are highly encouraged to attend and participate with their research posters relevant to sustainable development. Looking forward to your excellent contributions.

  • 10:15 -10: 45: Guest Speaker/Sustainable Development for disaster risk reduction
  • 10: 45- 11:15: Guest Speaker/SDGs opportunities and challenges - Way Forward
  • 11: 15- 11:45: Open Panel Discussion
  • 11:45 - 12:00: Students Posters Session
  • 12:00 - 1:00 : Refreshments
