UNESCO is partnering with National Emergency Management Agency,  NEMA - Nigeria to develop culturally acceptable early warning tools that will improve indigenous adaptation and resilience to disaster risks posed by climate variability.  The meeting will focus on the Lake Chad region in the first instance.
