We are pleased to invite you to join us on 16-17 May for a UNFCCC technical expert meeting on Integrating climate change adaptation with the Sustainable Development Goals and the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction, taking place during the Bonn Climate Change Conference.

The two day meeting will allow participants to identify challenges and concrete opportunities for taking coherent and collaborative approaches to undertaking efforts on adaptation, the SDGs and the Sendai framework for DRR. The meeting will focus on:

  • Integrated approaches to advancing adaptation, SDG and DRR efforts, including through joint decision-making and joint tools and metrics; and
  • The use of the national adaptation plans (NAPs) as a framework for creating and strengthening linkages between the three processes.

The meeting will be highly participatory and solutions focused, with a mix of interactive plenary discussions and breakout group sessions.

The conference will take place within the United Nations Climate Change Conference (SB46). In case you are not registered for the conference, please contact AC@unfccc.int for further information.
