This special short training course on Disaster Risk Management will be held in Johannesburg, South Africa, 22-26 May 2017. The course is built for Disaster Risk Reduction professionals and practitioners from the public and private sectors, young graduates, as well as anyone with a professional interest in DRR and other related matters.This package will comprise of the following modules:

  • Climate Change and Water Resource Management for Drought-Prone Areas
  • Information Management for Decision-Making in Disasters and Humanitarian Emergencies
  • Strategic Disaster Risk Planning and Management
  • Monitoring, Early Warning and Early Response to Emergencies
  • Gender, Age and Disability: An Inclusive Approach to Disaster Risk Reduction 

Course Fee 

800 USD

The course fee covers tuition, course material, lunch, two tea breaks, and a touristic tour of Johannesburg.

Please note that the Gravitazz Institute does not offer any bursaries at the moment.
